NUOVA ARTEMAREA – Associazione Culturale
Fondata a Bologna nel 2023, NUOVA ARTEMAREA è un’associazione culturale senza scopo di lucro che promuove iniziative artistiche e culturali con una visione ampia, sia a livello nazionale sia internazionale. L’associazione si impegna a valorizzare il patrimonio culturale, storico e ambientale, con particolare attenzione allo sviluppo sostenibile e al dialogo interculturale.
Opera in collaborazione con enti pubblici e privati, università, musei, istituzioni e con una rete di professionisti, sia in Italia sia all’estero, organizzando attività culturali, scientifiche, artistiche e sociali.
NUOVA ARTEMAREA finanzia le proprie attività attraverso quote associative, donazioni e sponsorizzazioni, utilizzando le risorse esclusivamente per sostenere i propri progetti e le collaborazioni professionali. Ha sede legale a Bologna, in Strada Maggiore 36, ed è guidata da un Consiglio Direttivo con Presidente Guicciardo Sassoli de’ Bianchi Strozzi.

Guicciardo Sassoli de’ Bianchi Strozzi (1980), an art historian, critic, and expert curator in cultural diplomacy, earned a postgraduate degree from the University of Bologna. After conducting field research across Europe and South America, he developed a extensive archive of 20th-century art criticism and collaborated with studios on various publication and exhibition projects. He works closely with prominent museums, academic institutions, and cultural organizations, including the National Academy of Lincei, the Treccani Encyclopedia Institute, the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz, the Uffizi Gallery, the University of Pisa, the Italian Cultural Institutes in Beijing and New York, as well as the Italian Embassies in China, Lithuania and the Latvian National Museum of Art.
A frequent organizer of international conferences, he is also invited regularly to deliver lectures and serve as a visiting professor at institutions such as the Milan Brera Academy, the University of Bologna, the University of Naples, the University of Pisa, and the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence. His publications appear in collaboration with De Gruyter-Brill, the Treccani Encyclopedia Institute, the Uffizi Galleries, and the Accademia dei Lincei, among others.
He has serves as a consultant and lead curator for exhibitions as part of comprehensive cultural diplomacy projects promoted by Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international partners. His academic publications have been translated into multiple languages, focusing on the history of art criticism from the Renaissance to the early 20th century, with a particular expertise in curating exhibitions on the trasavantgarde and related architectural designs. In 2018 he curated at Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto the exhibition “Marinetti, Sarfatti and Futurism in the Regime Years”, the exhibition on Futurism in Bologna, and then he organized and curated the exhibition "The Centenary Triptych. Leonardo 1919 Raphael 1920 Dante 1921 and Italian Ingenuity at the origins of Made in Italy" in the “Villa Farnesina” in Rome. The exhibition has travelled also in Beijing, Tianjin, and Chongqing, showcasing over 300 Italian works in China. In 2024, he is the curator of the "Journey of Knowledge: ‘The Travels’ of Marco Polo and its legacy between the East and the West" heritage exhibition. Italian President Mattarella and Prime Minister Meloni visited and toured the exhibition, delivering an important speech. He also co-curated for the Uffizi side the exhibition curated by Astrida Rogule, and held at Riga Bourse in 2021: “Self-reflection Omar Galliani Lorenzo Puglisi Tintoretto”, and now the exhibition “Light from Italy: from Fattori to Morandi”, bringing for the first time more than 80 masterpieces from the Uffizi in dialogue with the collection of Latvian National Museum of Art in Riga.
Ren Jingge (1989) is an intercultural art critic, exhibition organizer, and curator, with a particular focus on immersive and relational artistic practices in the context of contemporary society. Following field research conducted at the University of Bologna, he has developed an interdisciplinary theoretical and critical approach.
He has participated in numerous international exhibition projects organized by the association Nuova Arte Marea, of which he is currently a representative, contributing as a coordinator and mediator to initiatives such as the exhibition “Journey of Knowledge: Marco Polo’s ‘Il Milione’ and Its Legacy between East and West”, held in Beijing and Hangzhou; “The Cascella Family: Beyond Time”, presented in Spain; and “Art in Embassy: Contemporary Italy in Vilnius”, held in Lithuania. He also served as curator for the exhibition “Developments of the Contemporary” as part of an artist residency project in Beijing.
He is also a lecturer in interpreting at IULM University and a lecturer in linguistic mediation at SSML Carlo Bo. He has chaired and provided interpretation for academic conferences in China and Italy, including the conference on modern art in Portofino organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing, and a thematic lecture dedicated to Arnaldo Pomodoro in Beijing.
